This guide walks through pairing NinjaTrader with Helix. The whole flow takes a few minutes and only needs to be done once per machine.
What you'll need
- NinjaTrader 8 installed and connected to your data/broker.
- Your Helix connection key (generated on the Onboarding screen).
- The Helix Connector and NinjaTrader add-on (download links are on the Onboarding screen).
Steps
- 1In Helix, open Onboarding and generate a connection key — copy it (it's shown once).
- 2Download the NinjaTrader add-on and install it (see the Connector setup guide).
- 3Download the Helix Connector executable to a folder you can find easily.
- 4Open PowerShell in that folder and run the connector with your key.
- 5Return to Onboarding — the status flips to Paired and your accounts appear.
Keep the connector running in its own window while you trade. Closing it only makes the cloud dashboard go stale — NinjaTrader keeps trading normally.
